Calm After The Storm
Sometimes when the storm comes in, its fury for all to see,
The answers arent always clear yet the calmness beckons me.
To a place that isnt clustered with worry or deceit,
For its there that I leave the storm, right at Jesus feet.
Although the seas may swell and the winds will whip and roar,
The rain may flood heavily down, but Jesus is at my door.
The enemy awaits with callousness and tries to tear us up,
Apparently he must be reminded, that Jesus fills my cup.
Satan comes against us to kill us and destroy,
But really all he does is lie, steal and annoy.
The winds may blow and the tide it may rise,
But always trust that God, is forever by your side.
No matter how terrible the storm nor how deep the raging sea,
His grace is all sufficient, He will never abandon you or me.
In the midst of your biggest battle, if destruction is in your view,
Open your heart and you will find Jesus waiting there for you.
